About us

re:made for new

When I became a mother, I, like many others, thought it was incredibly fun to buy clothes for my daughter, everything is so much special in a small size, right? However, it was around the same time, I for the first time read that we already have enough clothes produced to satisfy the next six generations. I found that an incredible read and every time I have come across the same sentence since then I feel equally uneasy.

As my daughter grew, so did my interest in vintage and the art of redoing. There are few things that live up to the feeling of having found a real gem - whether it's a vintage tablecloth or a fabric from the 70s.

With my interest in vintage, I quickly realized that there are stacks and stacks of textiles from the last century that do no more good than to lie on a shelf.

The idea of transforming these into something new and useful is not new in itself, but doing it for the very youngest, for the next generation, is. I believe in setting good examples early in life, whether it comes to consumption or good upbringing. In order to achieve change in the long term, to learn to economize with the resources that are already at hand, we must be role models for the very youngest and create habits from an early age. It is only when we can cement a sustainable approach in our children that we can expect that the development can be reversed in the future.

LALLO produces on a small scale with only a couple of releases per year. Together with you, we work for quality rather than quantity and hope that what you buy today will live on for many years to come.
